Well, here I am back again. My family suffered a painful loss recently and I needed to drop off the scene for awhile.  The days are still difficult but I’m slowly getting back into the swing of things.  I am pleased to show you a card I made for one of Becky Fleck’s card maps.  The December Pagemaps were revealed today so I can show you all here if you haven’t already seen it.

I’ll be back again shortly with my December reveal for Scrap Shotz.

Cheers,

Jen

I had a few minutes last night to play and dipped into some really old stash.  With all of this Autumn, Halloween and Christmas themed stuff lately it was nice to change it up a bit and use something springy and colorful.  I loved this week’s 2s4y bonus sketch so decided to give it a go.  Here is my result:

Have a great Saturday!

I’ve been MIA, I know… life has gotten kind of crazy lately and it’s seriously cramping my scrappin’ style!  I finally managed to get a bit of ‘me’ time at my desk and caught up with this week’s 2S4Y sketch.  This one was out of my usual comfort zone, just because I wanted to try a more shabby look.  Not sure if I succeeded or not but I’m always up for a challenge.  I wanted to use my 7 Gypsies Savannah papers from my latest SSZ card kit and I think this line lends itself so well to this style.

Speaking of Card Kits… I tried something just a little different this month with my reveal.  Since we had a talented guest DT member helping out with the reveal, I took the opportunity to see what else I could come up with besides cards.  It was totally fun too!

One more day…

Until CROP DAY!!!  That’s right, the Scrap Shotz Colour Your World Crop kicks off tomorrow night at 8pm EST!!  There are TWO grand prizes available to be won, one for cards and one for layouts… how cool is that!  I hope you’ll stop by and join in the fun, there are going to be a TONNE of challenges to choose from, a few make & takes and a few fun games too!

Here’s a little sneak at my first challenge.  I hope it peaks your interest. 🙂  The crop fun can be found in our online crops forum.

We’ll also bring back our popular Scrap Shotz gives back challenge which sees SSZ donate $5 to a worthy cause for every person that completes the challenge!  This crop’s beneficiary will be the Alzheimer’s Society.  Why not join in for the cause?  Hope to see you there!

Cheers!

Happy Thanksgiving!

We had our turkey day yesterday, what a fabulous feast!  Wishing everyone a happy, healthy and fulfilling Thanksgiving!

As promised, here is that card I mentioned last post.  It is a corner pocket card I designed which is meant to still open like a regular card but also sports a corner pocket on the cover in order to hold a tag, gift card or bookmark.  I have given permission for it to be featured on the Christmas Cards All Year Round Blog coming up soon.

That’s all for a holiday Monday!  BTW, the count down is on!  Scrap Shotz is hosting a FABULOUS Online Crop this coming weekend!  The theme is Colour Your World and kick off is at 8pm EST on Friday evening.  Hope to see you there… we have oodles of challenge planned, as well as games and make & takes.

Cheers!

I’m back with another 2S4Y card today, this time it’s my friend Carla’s bonus sketch for the week.  For this one I used a different Scrap Shotz Card Kit… A Very Merry Card Kit which feature the adorably whimsical My MInd’s Eye Be Merry line.  The swirl, tree and sentiment were all die cuts included in the kit and I added the red pearls to the tree for a little extra oomph! 🙂

Have a good one!

Good Wednesday Morning!  Life threw us a couple of curve balls last week and after a difficult week I am back on track!  I’m starting off with my take on this week’s 2S4Y sketch.  I decided to turn it on one side and worked with one of the just released Scrap Shotz Christmas Card Kits, using the My Mind’s Eye Snowed In collection… *SO PRETTY*!

As I mentioned above, I have designed three Christmas Card Kits for Scrap Shotz.  They were released on Saturday and already there are just a few left!  If you are interested in checking them out, you can find the details here.  This is what they look like:

October!!

Can you believe it?  I can’t, especially when it’s +25C outside today!  So another month kicks off and that means another Scrap Shotz kit reveal.  This one was highly anticipated as it was the first with our three new DT members.  I’ll share a couple of my reveal projects with the gorgeous Fancy Pants Daily Grind kit, and be sure to visit the SSZ Gallery to see the complete reveal, it is truly stunning work!

Also, just a reminder that this Saturday, October 4th is World Card Making Day.  Don’t forget to come by the Scrap Shotz challenge forum and check out the fabulous challenges we have planned. Also, we will be unveiling THREE Christmas Card Kits which will go up for sale that day!

Have a great day!

Happy Wednesday!

Whew!  I’m half-way through a CRAZY week! I managed to make some time this morning to get to this weeks 2S4Y Card, Laura’s fabulous Sketch 9.  I have been working with some older stuff recently, and this card is made with last year’s Fancy Pants Holly Jolly line, such a vibrant holiday line!  Actually the card below it is also made with the same line and loosely based on the sketch, only turned on it’s side.

Here they are:

Also, if you’re looking for a cool little project, My friend Jess posted an awesome Scrappy Hour Class at Scrap Shotz on Sunday night.  It’s a modified flag album and is too cute!  I made one to paste our miscellaneous business cards into, rather than having them all stuck into a drawer by the phone. If you’d like to check out her class and instructions, you can find them here.

Here is my flag album/business card holder:

That’s all for today, have a good one!

I have a quickie card to share… it’s for my weekly card challenge at Scrap Shotz.  Each week members are challenged to make cards using supplies that start with a given letter… this week’s letter was “C”.  I’m down to a few scraps of the beautiful Crate Sweet Branch line so I tried to use it up.  If you’re interested in participating, you can find my weekly card challenges here.

That’s all for today.

Cheers!
