We had our turkey day yesterday, what a fabulous feast!  Wishing everyone a happy, healthy and fulfilling Thanksgiving!

As promised, here is that card I mentioned last post.  It is a corner pocket card I designed which is meant to still open like a regular card but also sports a corner pocket on the cover in order to hold a tag, gift card or bookmark.  I have given permission for it to be featured on the Christmas Cards All Year Round Blog coming up soon.

That’s all for a holiday Monday!  BTW, the count down is on!  Scrap Shotz is hosting a FABULOUS Online Crop this coming weekend!  The theme is Colour Your World and kick off is at 8pm EST on Friday evening.  Hope to see you there… we have oodles of challenge planned, as well as games and make & takes.

I’m back with another 2S4Y card today, this time it’s my friend Carla’s bonus sketch for the week.  For this one I used a different Scrap Shotz Card Kit… A Very Merry Card Kit which feature the adorably whimsical My MInd’s Eye Be Merry line.  The swirl, tree and sentiment were all die cuts included in the kit and I added the red pearls to the tree for a little extra oomph! 🙂

Good Wednesday Morning!  Life threw us a couple of curve balls last week and after a difficult week I am back on track!  I’m starting off with my take on this week’s 2S4Y sketch.  I decided to turn it on one side and worked with one of the just released Scrap Shotz Christmas Card Kits, using the My Mind’s Eye Snowed In collection… *SO PRETTY*!

As I mentioned above, I have designed three Christmas Card Kits for Scrap Shotz.  They were released on Saturday and already there are just a few left!  If you are interested in checking them out, you can find the details here.  This is what they look like:

Whew!  I’m half-way through a CRAZY week! I managed to make some time this morning to get to this weeks 2S4Y Card, Laura’s fabulous Sketch 9.  I have been working with some older stuff recently, and this card is made with last year’s Fancy Pants Holly Jolly line, such a vibrant holiday line!  Actually the card below it is also made with the same line and loosely based on the sketch, only turned on it’s side.

Here they are:

Also, if you’re looking for a cool little project, My friend Jess posted an awesome Scrappy Hour Class at Scrap Shotz on Sunday night.  It’s a modified flag album and is too cute!  I made one to paste our miscellaneous business cards into, rather than having them all stuck into a drawer by the phone. If you’d like to check out her class and instructions, you can find them here.

Here is my flag album/business card holder:

That’s all for today, have a good one!

Happy Friday everyone!

Are you aware that World Card Making Day is October 4th?

Here is a some info about this special day from the website devoted to it (and sponsored by Paper Crafts:

World Card Making Day is a holiday especially for card makers around the world to:

  • Celebrate the creativity of handmade cards and the personal connection that they create between friends and family
  • Kick off (and get a head start on) the holiday card-making season
  • WHEN

The first Saturday of each October, kicking off the holiday card-making season, the most popular time for creating and sharing handmade greetings.

The card-making community worldwide, including hobbyists, beginning card makers, manufacturers of card-making products, retail sellers of products, educators, and press are invited to come together to celebrate this holiday and creative passion.

It is a day to connect with fellow card makers both near and far, to applaud the creativity that powers the craft, and to provide an opportunity for card makers to connect and find resources that will empower, inspire, and encourage them in their card making.

    And now for the “HOW”:

Scrap Shotz is hosting a World Card Making Day Mini Crop!  There will be card challenges galore, both seasonal and non-seasonal  There will be prizes and the unveiling of a seasonal card kit (or two)! 😉  Please mark it on your calendars and then come on by!
Speaking of Paper Crafts, I am excited to share that they have selected one of my cards to be published in their upcoming Stamp It! Cards, Volume 3 idea book! *TOOT*!  It will hit the stands in late February and I am tickled.  While I’ve had a couple of layouts published, this will be my first published card.
Nothing scrappy to share at the moment, I’m hoping to be more productive this weekend.
    Have a fabulous Friday!  Cheers!

    Happy Monday Morning!

I’m starting off lickety-split with this week’s 2S4Y card… a lovely sketch by Kazan!  Love the skinny cards so this one was fun!  I used more of that Imaginisce Snowy Jo line that I can’t get enough of.

Here are my cards for this month (I keep them simple as it’s an assembly line thing), I am in love with with this product line from Imaginisce!
